Sikkim State Electricity Regulatory Commission(SSERC) has framed the 'Draft SSERC(Standards of Performance For Distribution & Transmission Licensee) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2024. These regulations are proposed to be notified to incorporate the provisions of the Electricity(Rights of Consumers) Rules, 2020, notified by the Ministry of Power, Government of India on 31st December 2020. Accordingly, SSERC hereby published the Draft Regulations for information of public, Licensees, SLDC and other stake-holders. Before finalization of the regulations, the Commission seeks inputs/comments/suggestions and objections, if any, from stake holders through this publication under section 181(3) of the Electricity Act, 2003. The draft regulations can be vieweddownloaded from the link below. Interested persons, institutions/associations, companies, Licensees, and other stake-holders may furnish their suggestions/comments/objections to the Comission on or before 5th July 2024, 4.00 PM. through post/courier/email. On receipt of the responses fro mdifferent quarters, the Commission may, in appropriate cases, bring the modifications, if any, to the draft regualations and shall approve the same for publication in the State Government Gazette.
