The Sikkim State Electricity Regulatory Commission has been set up as per the provisions of the Section 82 of the Electricity Act,2003 (Act 36 of 2003). The powers of the Commission has been laid out under Section 94 of the Electricity Act, 2003. Similarly, the Section 95 of the Act describes the details of proceedings before the Appropriate Commission , Section 66 on Powers of entry and seizure and Section 97 on Delegation of powers & functions.
