Hon'ble Chairperson of the Commission is the ex-officio Chairperson of the State Advisory Committee

Shri N.T.Lepcha is presently the Hon'ble Chairman of Sikkim Welfare Commission. Shri Lepcha is a public figure and actively involved in social activities especially in the North District of Sikkim. Shri Lepcha belongs to the 'Primitive Lepcha Tribe" and has been nominated as one of the member of the State Advisory Committee.

.As per Section 87(3) of the Electricity Act, 2003, the Sikkim State Electricity Regulatory Commission has nominated Shri. D.P.Sharma , IAS (Retd.), former Secretary to the Government of Sikkim as one of the members of the Committee.

Shri Uttam Kumar Pradhan is former Principal Chief Engineer (Mechanical) in the Government of Sikkim. Shri Pradhan has been inducted as one of the members of the State Advisory Committee.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 87 (1) of the Electricity Act, 2003, Sikkim State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SSERC) has constituted the State Advisory Committee and Shri.Dinesh Kharel ,former Chief Engineer , Government of Sikkim has been included as one of the members of the Committee.

Section 87 (1) of the Electricity Act, 2003, states that the State Commission may, by notification establish with effect from such date as it may specify in such notification, a Committee to be known as the State Advisory Committee. Accordingly, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said sections of the Electricity Act, 2003, the Sikkim State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SSERC) has constituted the State Advisory Committee . The Commission has included Shri Narayan Khatiwada as one of the members of the Committee. Shri Khatiwada is presently the "President of Pelling Tourism Development Association (PTDA)" and hails from Pelling, Gyalshing,Sikkim. He represents main sections of the Tourism Sector namely Hotels ,Transportation & Tours & Travels.
